I've been doing some thinking lately, about the difference between being egoistic and being a straight up coward.
Say you made a mistake.
You know its your fault.
Doesnt matter if the fault is 100% yours, or maybe you only played a small part in the mistake
Point is, you made a mistake, and you know it.
But here's the problem, you're too daft to admit you made that mistake.
You know what's a trait i really dislike in someone? I really dislike it when someone makes a mistake, and they are completely aware of it, and they know its their fault, but they absolutely refuse to own up for their mistake.
They dont apologise for it, they dont acknowledge it, they act all innocent as if they've never done anything wrong.
I havent the slightest idea why they'd do that. Some people say its cause of their egos. Kononnya kalau kau mintak maaf tunjuk kau lemah la en. HAKPUIHHHH
ITS SO BLARDEE ANNOYINGGGG I FEEL LIKE BITING THEIR HEADS OFF!
Personally, i dont think its ego, i think its because they're cowards.
Why?
Because it takes guts to put aside your ego and to admit your mistake.
Because it takes strength to go up to someone, look them in the eye, and apologise.
Because apologising is a difficult task, and it takes bravery.
Because taking responsibility over one's actions is not something everybody can handle.
Tell me, what's so weak about that?
I seriously admire those people who can stand up and take responsibility over their mistakes. The ones who can handle the consequences over their actions. Says a lot about their character.
Plus not to mention it erases the mistake that person made.
To top it off, it shows that the person would'nt mind taking the hard way out of a sticky situation.
Instead of taking the easy way out, which is running away from their mistake, which shows how big of a coward that person is.
Running away from a mistake you've made wont lead to anything good trust me.
It just causes more anger in the person you've wronged.
Denying that you've made that mistake also causes more damage than good.
I dont know la, it really pisses me off how one fails to see the logic is this theory. WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT RUNNING AWAY FROM YR MISTAKES? NOTHING K, absolutely nothing. Its not worth it, you're only going to make things worse.
SO please, if you know you've made a mistake, have the guts to own up to it. If you're smart enough, you would set aside you ego, and apologise. It should'nt matter who started it first, all that matters is that you own up to your mistake. Its really that simple.
Dont be a coward.
Seriously.
